West Bridgford Chess Club is a friendly local club meeting at the Wolds public house on Monday nights, welcoming players of all age and ability. From aged 8 to 80, beginner to Grandmaster.
This season we are running 3 teams in the Nottinghamshire Leagues (four-a-side and six-a-side matches), with games starting at 7.30pm on selected weeks.
Non-league social players of all age and ability from beginner to Grandmaster are welcomed to play from 7.20PM on Monday nights. We would be a natural home for any NTU University students living or studying in West Bridgford or Clifton - the club is just a short distance on Loughborough Road (and on major bus routes).
We also run Junior sessions from age 7/8 up to 18. These have run since 2009. We are running them again on Monday evenings in Winter 2025 through to Summer 2026, from around 6.15 to 7.15pm: if your child might be interested in this, please contact us, or else just come along and check it out.
